
PREGGY CHECK SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY
1. PURPOSE
This Social Media Policy outlines the principles, expectations, and obligations regarding the use of social media platforms by employees, contractors, brand ambassadors, and third-party partners of PreggyCheck™ (“PreggyCheck”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). The purpose of this policy is to protect PreggyChecks™ reputation, ensure brand consistency, mitigate legal risks, and promote sage and responsible online communication aligned with our values.
2. SCOPE
This policy applies to:
- All PreggyCheck™ employees (permanent, temporary, contractbased)
- Marketing partners, influencers, ambassadors, interns
- Any person posting on behalf of PreggyCheck™ or discussing its brand, products, or services online.
It also covers all forms of social media, including but not limited to:
- Facebook, Twitter/X, TikTok, LinkedIn
- YouTube, Pintrest, Threads,
- WhatsApp, Telegram
Blogs, vlogs, podcasts, forums
3. CORE PRINCIPLES
3.1. Transparency: Identify yourself as a PreggyCheck™ employee or representative when discussing company matters.
3.2. Respect: Maintain a respectful, professional tone at all times. Avoid hate speech, harassment, threats, or offensive matters.
3.3. Confidentiality: Never disclose proprietary, confidential, or personal information (especially medical data) without prior authorization.
3.4. Accuracy: Share only factual, verified information. Avoid speculation, medical claims, or misleading statements.
3.5. Compliance: Abide by applicable privacy laws (PDPL, POPIA, GDPR), advertising laws, and platform-specific rules.
4. AUTHORISED USE
Only designated members of the marketing and communications team may:
- Create and manage PreggyCheck™-branded social media accounts
- Post official company statements or campaigns
- Respond to media inquiries on public platforms
All public social media activity using company branding or logos must receive prior written approval from the Communications Manager.
5. EMPLOYEE PERSONAL USE GUIDELINES
Employees are free to use personal social media accounts provided:
- They do not imply official representation of PreggyCheck™
- They refrain from sharing confidential information
- They do not post content that could damage the company’s image or reputation
- They include a disclaimer when expressing opinions on healthcare or company matters: “Opinions are my own and do not reflect those of my employer”
6. INFLUENCER AND AMBASSADOR CONDUCT
Influencers, affiliates, and brand ambassadors representing PreggyCheck™ must:
- Disclose paid partnerships in compliance with local advertising laws.
- Avoid making unverified health claims or promises about outcomes
- Use brand guidelines and approved media assets only
- Undergo periodic content audits by PreggyCheks™ marketing team
7. PROHIBITED CONDUCT
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Posting sensitive health data or case studies without informed consent
- Making medical diagnoses, prescriptions, or unapproved advice
- Political, discriminatory, or sexually explicit commentary
- Leaking confidential documents, internal memos, or business strategies
- Trolling, spamming, or engaging in social media disputes under thecompany name
8. CRISIS MANAGEMENT AND ESCALATION
If a social media issue escalates into a reputational, legal, or health crisis (e.g., misinformation, impersonation, breach):
- Immediately notify an appointed Communications Manager
- Do not respond publicly unless authorized to do so
9. MONITORING AND ENFORCEMENT
PreggyCheck™ reserves the right to:
- Monitor publicly available social media content
- Take corrective action, including warnings, suspensions, or contract termination
- Pursue legal remedies in cases of defamation, intellectual property
violations, or data breaches
